Cubing Up OVER 100 Mid and High Runes, Because I dont Want Them Diablo 2 Resurrected

MrKingdeuce: You really hit it right! I think why it's so hard to cube all the runes up is because each one of those is an individual memory you had. Every one of those runes you stop what you're doing to pick up.
By cubing them it's almost like that moment is gone and it never happened anymore. Even though what really happened is you used those moments(runes) to create a new moment(rune).

FlawlessRythym: Man. That's a hell of a grind for all that. I suppose it's totally worth it on single player. Realistically, it would take even longer to try to find those 2 Bers and 4 Los naturally. Beats grinding up dozens to hundreds of characters to Hell forge.
lefter700: I do this with all runes I got since D2R released and got to Zod twice. The funny thing is that I still haven't gotten a single Shako.

mathewbollington9569: I cube runes as I go. I keep a float of all types of rune (3 of each kind) and gems as they drop. At some points a low/mid rune drop will ripple up to become something more interesting.

Anything Pul or above tends not to be cubed unless there's a need for it. A direct drop usually happens before I cube.

For ladder play, where I can trade then I tend to hang on to hel and ral runes for trading. Once I've built a float of 3 of Thul and below I'll stop hoarding and sometimes even collecting. They go into a junk rune mule where I also construct Spirit and Insight rune sets for when I need them. Ditto for the prerequisite gems. If you're playing characters nightmare or above there seems to be a steady stream of Amn - Hel drops so I do collect them, hoard and cube. Mostly to get to the less frequent mid level runes like Fal, Lum, Ko or Lem that that go into useful runewords.

Season 8 actually dropped me first first Zod EVER! in Terrorised Tristram. Shortly after I was dropped a Vex so the game essentially gave me a "Breath of the Dying". When I find a good base, which will likely be when those characters transition into non-ladder and I can combine my BoTD with the Grief the game dropped me in season 7.
Vuallum: Man, there was a time back on LoD single player where you couldn't merge Dol rune and higher to the next one, great rune smoshing!
