I Entered Hell at Level 1 in Diablo 2

hoodedman6579: Going by a forum post I found, the decoy bug has been a known thing for like a year and a half; I found a very detailed explanation that I'll try to summarize, but googling "Decoy “dying in one hit” bug explained, courtesy of Bonesy" and finding the Blizzard Forum post by that name will have the full explanation.

The most relevant issue is that skill bonuses to Decoy reapply every single time you cast any skill; as such, your first decoy might be level 4, then the next will be 7, then you use a Plague Javelin, then the next one is level 13, then you use two Plague Javelins, then the next one is level 19, and so on, assuming I understand this correctly. As such, it continues gaining extra life, resistances, and duration, until the life loops around to a negative number and it just dies in one hit. Basically, you're cycling through a few normal decoys, a bunch of invincible ones, a bunch of ones that die in one hit, and then you're repeating, but all skills keep the cycle going which makes identifying the cycle a lot more confusing.

Also, the Decoy's life is incorrectly calculated based off of your current life instead of your base life; this lets it gain even more health off of things like Battle Orders, though I don't think that was super relevant for this video?

Also, every Decoy is treated as having a base level of 1 regardless of how many skill points you put into it.

alexanderpapadopoulos2988: The crazy thing is that it happened to come across another d2 player, and he tried this exactly challange as well, but he thought that it was impossible, so he cheated with hero editor, but he "completed" it (cheated only for xp and something else which I cant recall). So I felt a little deceived and didnt watch it all. This video, on the contrary is what exactly this challange should be! Hardcore patiance man, congratulations! Watched every second of it and loved it!
