NEW PALADIN is INVINCIBLE Diablo 2 ResurrectedOct 10 2024
pires11d: Have you seen that Dbrunski is back from the dead? Someone cubed his leg with a scroll of town portal and brought him back to D2R streaming
nafzee: MDR applies to each type of element separately, so an attack dealing 20 magic, 20 fire, 20 lightning, and 20 cold damage would deal no damage if MDR is 20, quite toad i must say.
When an attack deals both magic/elemental and physical damage, and Magic Damage Reduction (MDR) is higher than the magic damage, the excess MDR is applied to the physical damage after Damage Resist (DR) is calculated. So this is good for a melee boi that is say lightning enchanted.
For example, an attack dealing 100 physical, 50 fire, 50 lightning, and 50 cold damage to a target with 100 MDR and 50% DR would result in no fire, lightning, or cold damage and 50 physical damage. After applying the excess MDR (-150), no damage is dealt since 50 physical damage is reduced to zero.
On faster ticking missile attacks like fire wall, demon inferno, arctic blast, Diablo's lightning - the effectiveness is reduced to 1-2/25th of what it usually is.
smalps-gaming: Yea MDR applies to Magic dmg as well as Fire, Cold, and Light. The MDR in excess will apply to Physical if there is no more MD to reduce. Like if a monsters attack is both Fire Physical. It is only applied right at the end after every other DR source, so its really not something to worry much about.
For trav, I would try to add wisp over the 2nd Dwarf.
tylerwitte714: When you yell “welcome” - I used to think you said “wake up!!!” lol which cracked me up, but now I hear the wake up every time now even tho I know it’s welcome
RealFatherHowie: Why is their no speed cut of every "Whats up guys" introduction from all videos?
Internet Tell Me Why!!!!?
miquelsubira3076: This the quadruple healing, inmortal, prayer, prayer, cleansing and meditation
rippan9191: The WELCOME. It is simply heartwarming.
Matty2Fatty3: You need a prayer merc with cure and Insight for the heals and youd probably be unkillable haha
szilardtoth5642: Imho even in 8 players, he looked fine for quite a while (couple of seconds), until he got hit and cursed. Curse extra strong is no joke...
For trav I'd go with treachery and very high defense, 2x dwarf/1 dwarf ravenfrost (cannot be frozen or put cham in corona and lose 8%DR). Rest is okay, but instead of 5% max resist from skills, I'd prioritize maxing shield and defiance (both increasing defense). High char lvl and defense would mean you get cursed fewer times.
My point in summary is: you already have enough reduction in all available slots, except defense (which isn't really useful until you get everything else decked like you did here).
Can't say much about the MDR thing, but AmazonBasin should answer it how and when you should max MDR on gear.
huansun1016: Apparently the damage u got is from physical, not elemental. As long as being cursed with amplify damage, no one could be invincible
jnf1283: Wouldn't smite be a better option than zeal? Your attack rating is very low and smite always hits (doesn't require attack rating whatsoever). Your damage with zeal is mostly benefiting from the Grief and Gore Riders, which smite would also benefit from equally. Personally, I wouldn't run zeal with less than ~10k attack rating. If you also added some 3/20/20 small charms it would help a lot, but I see this as being a really strong Diablo clone/Uber Tristram farmer budget option using smite rather than zeal for clearing normal areas while taking little damage? As a side note, I'm pretty certain your assertion that MDR applies before resistances is true, because the 'immortal energy shield' sorceress stacks MDR as well and I think that Cooley might have mentioned that (don't hold me to it though, since it's been a year or two since I watched his video). Also, I've noticed that elite monsters with the 'magic damage reduction' modifier seemed to take noticeably longer to kill with my elemental damage based characters than other elite monsters, so I'm pretty sure that you're right about it applying to cold/fire/lightning damage.
