Path of Exile 2 Basics for Diablo 2 VeteransSep 26 2024
deaDParrot88: WE"RE FINALLY GETTING D3!!!!!!!!!!!!
maxschwediauer9808: I played d2 since day one until today. Once you get used to the poe1 systems it will be superior to d2. I swear. I love those 2 games but poe1 is a step up. D4 bad
ThePepe969: I bet you'll learn to love PoE's itemization. It's essentially D2's but even more interesting, and D2 itemization was hard to beat. One of the thing that most modern ARPGs fail to do.
nathanbustamante1525: I love to see the inspiration from diablo 2. Everything Jonathan says about the game just makes me more excited.
anthonydo2933: This is better content than POE2 youtubers
rubisco5997: I never played diablo 2, but this was a really cool video! Can't wait to play poe 2
zineD3: As someone who played a lot of Diablo 2, some Diablo 3 & Diablo 4 (still regret my purchase) but never played any PoE, this was helpful. Can't wait for PoE 2.
TalkativeTri: Great video, dude!
lukex1337: I’ve played a lot of Path 1 the last few months to get ready for 2. Excited to see your crazy builds
5ubmission: Thanks for the video! More of y’all viewers hit the like button for my man.
Zevrael: Minor corrections:
- Uncut skill gems open to a window with skills related to your equipped weapon type (because each skill is bound to a specific weapon type), not your class. Spells are separated into a few categories, all of which count as weapon types for this purpose. It used to be like you said, but was changed in the meantime
- I'm pretty sure skills no longer have attribute requirements. Instead, attributes are required for equipping items and dictate the amount of support gems of a certain color you can use. Each of the colors is linked to an attribute, a fighting style, and (loosely) certain damage types. Blue -> intelligence, spell casting, lightning; Green -> dexterity, ranged, cold/chaos; Red -> strength, melee, fire. For every 5 points in an attribute (you get exactly five points of one attribute from each travel node on the skill tree), you can equip one additional support gem of that color.
- In PoE1, armor only reduces physical damage taken from hits and is less effective the bigger the incoming hit. Its main use is to mitigate monsters' basic attacks. This might work slightly differently in PoE2, but I don't think I've heard of any changes.
